Project meeting in Stockholm

TOPICS
On the conference the following topics were presented and discussed:

Already existing qualifications for experienced were presented:
The TOET- course in the Netherlands
The 100hrs basic course in Bremen
The training course for service users and professionals led by Change in Birmingham
The 7-weeks course for users are hired as co-workers in municipal services in Baerum, Norway

Preconditions
The final draft of the description of preconditions to attend the basic and specialised courses has been elaborated.

Modules
The final module drafts have been presented and discussed.
The order will be:

Peer advocacy
Assessment
Teaching and supporting
Voice hearing
Health promotion
The final versions will be written till the next meeting. The length (hours) has to be adjusted.

Evaluation
A scheme for the evaluation of the modules has been presented. It will be used by all partners, which will test modules.

Next meeting
The next EX-IN partner meeting will be in Ljubljana on the 10th – 13th of October 2006.


Project meeting in Oslo

Foto[Oslo 22.-25.02.2006] All partners participated in the meeting. Additionally we were happy to welcome representatives of the national Swedish mental health self-help groups. The Norwegian Nordisk Selfhelp Forum declared their withdrawal as a full, official partner in the project. They will keep in touch with EX-IN, will supervise the project and will support the dissemination in Norway.

The central topics of this partner meeting have been:
- European and national demands for the accreditation of the ex-in training
- Overall objectives for the ex-in course (preconditions, gained knowledge, skills and competences, outcomes
- Presentation of the module drafts
- Interactive games
- Discussion of the consequences of professionalisation of mental health experienced people

The next partner-meeting will take place in Stockholm in June.


Upcoming conference

Foto[Magdeburg 22.-24.06.2006] In June 2006 Jörg Utschakowski will hold a talk on the qualification of user involvement during the annual meeting of the Dachverband Gemeindepsychiatrie e.V. in Magdeburg, Germany.

Next project meetings

[Bremen 15.10.05] Next project meetings will be held in Oslo in February 2006 (22.-26.02.06) and in Stockholm in June 2006.


Kick-off meeting in Bremen

Foto[Bremen 12.-15.10.05] Kick-off meeting of all EX-IN partners in Bremen. Alltogether 14 participants from the 10 Norwegian, Swedish, Slovenian, Dutch, English and German partner institutions had their first international meeting in Bremen. During three days, partners discussed working plans, basics and main content issues as well as dissemination strategies. Jörg Utschakowski, the german project coordinator from FOKUS (Initiative zur sozialen Rehabilitation, Bremen), as well as all partner participants were welcomed by Karin Röpke, the minister of health and social affairs of Bremen, in the ancient town hall.

Contract signing with national EU agency

Foto[Bonn 29.09.05] Klaus Fahle, the head of the national EU agency, and Sven Bechtolf, general manager of the Initiative zur sozialen Rehabilitation, during contract signing in Bonn on 29th of septembre. The project start is the 1st of octobre 2005 and project duration is 24 months.
